Ugh..will it ever end

I know that I am much better than I was in December of 2010 when I was septic and on the edge of a six foot hole in the ground, but lately I have had one abscess after another drain.  Right now, one's not even waiting for another to finish.  I have 4 open abscesses, draining crap right now. It is so nasty, so wishing I could dig the remaining lump out of my right maxilla.  My right and left mandible are also jumping into the game and have abscesses.

A couple weeks ago, I went to the oral surgeon for him to look at a place in the left mandible.  He actually saw it, for a change.  Although I think he normally sees and feels things, but acts like he doesn't.  Anyways, he said it looked like I had traumatized the soft tissue somehow and if it didn't heal up to come back, but he wasn't sure what he would do with it... It's healed up, but not right, but why go back if he needs to be told how to fix it.

For 5 years, I have been trying to move to Washington.  In October I merged my business with another and next week I am heading west.  I am hoping to find someone out there with a brain.  I'm thinking I will start by going to the University of Washington dental school to get my teeth cleaned.

All I can say, is may I please have a mouth full of abscesses, like I have now, when I go.  That might get their attention.

    2. Did you ever see Dr. Borneman? If so, how was your experience?

    3. Hi,

I am so grateful to you for this recommendation. You may have saved my life. I have been to Dr. Killpack and Borneman's office in Anacortes several times now. I met Dr. Borneman at the last visit while an associate Larry Ward completed Electrodermal screening on my jaw. The screening showed definitively that I still have OM in my jaw despite 4 surgeries and now it is in my upper and lower jaw bilaterally back where my wisdom teeth and the molars in front of them were. It showed that all of these areas are still negatively affecting my health. Of course I could tell them exactly what they found, but since my x-rays, CTs and MRIs look okay, no one believes me. This test showed corresponded with everything I've been reporting. YAY!! Finally!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR REFERRING ME!!

  2. Hi, I'm having similar problems at the moment stemming from an accident I had when I was 12. I'm 37 now and it's like a beehive has been opened. I had to have my two front teeth removed because of the accident, a bone implant because the original implant had eaten away at the front of my maxilla, and now the bone implant is poking through the skin and draining pus. I'm not sure whether I should go to a doctor's office, the dentist, or the ER since I know it's probably OM and I'll need IV antibiotics. And I don't want to be given the runaround considering my insurance sucks and my dental won't kick in for pre-existing for another 10 months. I fell like I'm screwed and not real sure what to do.

    1. I'm sorry, I haven't posted for a long time. How are you doing? I'm actually scheduled for another debridement in Jan for the left maxilla. Overall I am much better than I used to be. I have 2-3 abscess/month drain on the right side in the area where my cheek meets my maxilla. With each drainage, the lump I have on the right maxilla gets smaller. I believe once the lump goes away, so will the abscesses. Energy wise, I am much better. Not completely normal, but am hopeful that 2013 will bring the end to this nightmare. Please let me know how you are doing.

  3. You haven't posted for quite awhile. I am really interested to hear what's going on since your move. Did you find someone to help you?
I found your site because I just had a root canal on a crowned tooth that was abscessed. After the root canal, the real pain began. Excruciating and unrelenting. On antibiotics and pain meds, the pain has finally let up after 3 days of sleepless nights. Now, lower jaw pain, swelling, and chronic aching. I see an Endodontist on Thursday, but I fear OM. I'm an RN and know just enough to be dangerous. But, I can't open my mouth very far, no apetite, tired, low grade fever, and just tired of being tired. We'll see, but I think I want that tooth out!!!

  4. Found your page by accident because I have been sick this year with neck, throat pain and sudden dysphagia, and a bit of what feels like pokey bone sticking through the roof of my mouth now...earaches, jaw pain. So many drs, never know where to go next. Anyhow, I am happy to read your story and hope to hear more updates. I hope you are well and that 2013 brings you better health!

  5. How are you doing, Danielle? You haven't posted in awhile. I've only read a bit of your blog, but I've had similar experiences with the good old boys network of doctors with my possible case of osteomyelitis of the jaw.

  6. Hi Danielle
How are you feeling now? Have you beaten the decease?

    I just found this blog.
I have had this Osteomyelitis in my lower jaw for 4 years now.
It took 3 years for doctors and dentists to figure out what it really was.
I have eaten many long penicilin cures including 1 week IV, but no cure so far. My jaw/cheek is still like tennis ball.
Eating pain killers (ibuprofein) at least 2000mg per day.
I consulted with the doctor yesterday and he will get me back after he have consulted with senior doctors. He will let me know what the next step will be. Surgery, biopsy or other medicine.

    Take care

    1. Doctor called and they will take biopsy of the bone marrow and check bacteria of it. After the test results they will decide the future treatment. Uuh, I hate that drilling. :(
